Hmm, I had not heard of the Chinese cell phone pirates, the shanzai, before, very interesting. Engadget also just had a post on a Chinese mall where they stock up on parts and phones, with a lot of shanzai included. As long as they're able to avoid idiotic patent wars like this one today, I say good for them.

Don't people go to the beaches as a substitute for vacations when times are tough? That's what I remember Stephanie saying in an episode of "Baywatch" when politicians wanted to cut the number of lifeguards employed.
